With a bounty of new releases every single week, it’s tough to keep track and we highlight 25 of the most slept on sneakers in 2014 so far that are still available! From Nike to Jordan to New Balance, there are so many choices to pick from and even if you keep up with all that’s going on in the world of sneakers, it’s definitely possible that you missed more than a few of these drops. The good thing about these sneakers being slept on and still available is the fact that most can be picked up under retail…and you know we always got you in that regard. But take a look and let us know if the comments section below what you think are the most slept on kicks in 2014 so far!
Nike Air Max Lunar90 "Infrared"
We were pleasantly surprised at the turn of the year, when Nike blessed us with a quick shot at this combo of old and new. Pairing the cushy Lunarlon tech and iconic styling of the Air Max 90, how could you possibly go wrong? The only question was, with the initial drop selling out quickly, would other shops carry them? Fortunately for those of us who may have slept, Nike released more, and they’ve been sitting on shelves (both physical and digital) ever since. Don’t sleep on these.
Nike Foamposite One PRM Metallic Silver/Volt
With all the hype around the Foamposite silhouette, we don’t expect all the colorways to sell out. But, considering some of the recent “hit” colorways the Foams have seen, frankly, we’re surprised these sat.
New Balance 1500 (Made in England) "Contradiction Pack"
Sure, the New Balance 1500 comes with a high base price, particularly the US and UK produced models. But don’t sleep on these dope new colorways because, as soon as shops start allowing a discount on them, they’ll be snapped up before you know it.
Nike Air Footscape Motion
Often left out of the Footscape hype, is the dope Air Footscape Motion silo. We’re huge fans of this black/bright magenta colorway, which is why it’s surprising that these are still hanging around in shops. You’ll be wishing you had these come summer when your feet are burning up in some other pair of kicks.
Nike Kobe 9 EM "Easter"
Wow. That’s all we can say when we see some beauties like these still sitting on shelves over a week after release. Prior to the drop of Nike Basketball’s annual Easter pack, we pegged the recently-introduced Kobe IX EM as the fan favorite. But interestingly, they’re still available. Don’t sleep on these springtime bangers.
Nike Kobe 8 "Year of the Horse"
Speaking of Kobe’s sitting, even though we’re on to the Kobe IX, we’re shocked the gorgeous Kobe 8 “Year of the Horse” colorway is still available. Crazy. But, years on down the road, you’ll be kicking yourself for not picking these up.
Asics Gel Lyte III Off-White/Aqua Blue-Citrus
With all the attention Asics’ Gel Lyte III has gotten with it’s collaborations, the brand itself has obviously been taking note, dropping some fantastic GR colorways themselves. Like the “Urban Camo” before it, we thought these would sell out with the quickness, but we’re still seeing several spots with them, even some with a discount. Don’t sleep!
New Balance 998 "National Parks"
Oooh we just love the iconic New Balance 998. And, over the last few years, we’ve seen some really great GR colorways release, like the recent “National Parks” pack. We’re loving the ultra clean light grey/red-blue colorway and are really surprised to see this dope release still abundantly available.
Asics Gel-Kayano Light Grey/Black-Green
Speaking of Asics, we’re loving that they decided to bring back the awesome Gel-Kayno silhouette. This light grey/black-green colorway is an absolute banger, and another that if you don’t add to your collection now, you’ll regret a few years from now.
New Balance 998 'Pool Blue'
Again with the NB 998s. But these ‘Pool Blue’ joints are special. Just in time for the warmer months, these light blue beauties are juussst right.
adidas ZX 500 OG 'Weave'
With adidas releases, you never really know how well they’re going to be perceived and (more importantly) sell in today’s sneaker market. That being said, we thought the dope ZX 500 OG ‘Weave’ would be instantly gone. Fortunately for us, that means more time to get our funds in order to cop ’em. Nike isn’t the only label with some dope woven kicks.
Nike Air Max 2014 White/Black-Volt
The Air Max 2014 is an amazing sneaker and, with summer right around the corner, these fresh white/black joints are perfect. We’re going to have to sliiiddee these into our carts.
adidas Jabbar Hi "The Blueprint"
It has been a banner year so far for the three stripes in 2014. Retros, collabs, new silos…they’ve been absolutely killing it lately. And NBA All-Star weekend was no different, with their (re)introduction of the Jabbar Hi “The Blueprint.” With all the sneaker hype surrounding the ASG, we were all over these when they released, so we’re definitely surprised they’re still around.
Nike Flyknit Trainer Chukka FSB Black/White-Volt
The fact these Flyknit Trainers are still available is shocking. With the attention they got during the Winter Olympics, we thought for sure they’d vanish with the quickness. Perhaps it was their initial $200 price tag, but now that time has lowered it a bit, it’s even more surprising that you can still find ’em in stores. We think a lot of people were also disappointed they didn’t include the USA branding.
Nike Air Max 1 "Suede Pack"
Oh, these are just fantastic. We’re obviously fans of the Air Max 1, but this spring’s “Suede Pack” colorways remind us why the silo is so iconic. Pairing clean suede uppers with gum outsoles, count us in to pick these beauties up in just about every iteration.
Nike Air Up '14 "Orlando"
BUY IT NOW HERE Use Code: 1075KICKS
Maybe heads were turned off by the construction, but the return of the “Orlando” Nike Air Up ’14 was definitely an anticipated one for this classic model from Nike Basketball’s stable. The good news is if you’re a fan and have had the chance to get a close-up look at them, you can still add them to the collection and hopefully re-live some fond teenage memories.
adidas Stan Smith 'Mint Suede'
As you’ve probably noticed, the classic adidas Stan Smith has been everywhere so far in the early part of 2014. Which is maybe why the dope ‘mint suede’ iteration has fallen under the radar just a bit. Absolutely perfect for spring/summer, this low top is not only still available, but up for grabs at a nice price too.
Jordan I Mid Nouveau
Look, we know that many folks don’t like these, simply because they don’t like the Jordan I at any other height than the OG high tops. But we’re telling you, if you’ve passed on these to this point, you’re missing out because the quality of the materials used on the upper is on point. You should rectify this ASAP.
Nike Flyknit Lunar2
BUY IT NOW HERE Use Code: 20120KICKS
We were all over the original Flyknit Lunar1, so you know we were pumped when Nike dropped part two of the silo. Clearly Nike was paying attention to the fans on this one, because the first wave of colorways released have been awesome. Nike even did the unthinkable and DROPPED the price with the second model. Which makes it all the more puzzling why we’re still seeing these sit around, even with a coupon/discount code.
Nike Air Force 180 Black/White-Sport Royal
The Air Force 180, in the black nubuck/sport royal colorway, is just classic Nike basketball work. These may not posses the neck-breaking qualities of some newer releases, but these are perfect holding it down on or off the court.
Nike Roshe Run 'Marble' Chilling Red & Black/White
You already know we love the Nike Roshe Run, and we’re huge fans of the most recent ‘Marble’ pack colorways. However, after some quick initial sell-outs and subsequent quick restocks, we’re still seeing some float around the ol’ interwebs. Don’t sleep on these two particular colorways!
Jordan Melo M10 "Year of the Horse"
BUY IT NOW HERE Use Code: HX62
We know we’ve only seen a handful of colorways on the Jordan Melo M10 so far, but these premium “Year of the Horse” bangers are great. Not only do they posses nearly all of Nike’s most cutting-edge hoops technology, but this colorway has just the right funk to it. We’re really feeling these.
Nike Lunar 180 Trainer SC PRM "Super Bowl"
We know why some of the flashier Nike “Super Bowl” pack colorways sold out so quickly, but most folks passed up on what is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The Lunar 180 Trainer SC may not have fully iridescent or reflective uppers, but they’re simply an awesome shoe. You can’t go wrong with that Lunarlon tech.
Nike SB Dunk Low Pro "White Ice"
Even though these icy Nike SBs released back in January, they were built for warmer temps. Which is what makes it so surprising that they’re still available in several places. These are gonna be great for spring and summer. Keep ’em clean though!
Nike Flyknit Chukka Wolf Grey/Cool Grey-Electric Green
BUY IT NOW HERE Use Code: 2014SS
Perhaps the most comfortable shoe we own, we simply can’t recommend Nike’s Lunar Flyknit Chukka enough. It’s simply an amazing sneaker. And, with seemingly every Nike silo getting the neon or ‘Volt’ treatment, we’re stunned that these bangers are still available for purchase. We’re seriously reconsidering copping another pair right now.
