The 20 Best Air Jordan Retro Lows Of All Time

On the heels of another upcoming release for a Jordan 11 Retro Low this weekend, we look back and highlight the 20 best Air Jordan Retro Low releases in general. While you already know some of the most beloved and best produced Jordan Lows are the 11, there are also some really dope pairs of the 6, 9 and 13 that have hit retail shelves over the years.

Individuals are definitely more inclined to break out the low tops when the weather is warm and Jordan Brand has given fans some great options to pickup so far this year. Feel free to take a look at our rankings and let us know in the comments section below what sits at the top of your list for the best Jordan Retro Low of all time!

Air Jordan 2 Retro Low ‘Navy’

Year Released: 2004

White, navy and Carolina blue usually go well together. And that was definitely the case with this Air Jordan 2 Retro Low, released in 2004. Boasting OG color blocking, these are very underrated as many people prefer the highs over the lows when it comes to the Air Jordan II.

Air Jordan 12 Retro Low ‘Taxi’

Year Released: 2004 and 2011

When these were originally released in 2004, people were excited to see them back. However, after releasing in OG form in 2008 and then again as a low in 2011, the regard for these has seemed to die down a bit. Nonetheless, they’re still a great pair.

Air Jordan 11 Retro Low Black/White

Year Released: 2013

A color flip, so-to-speak. While the sample and PE versions featured a red sole, the released pair with an icy one still appeased the fans. Not to mention also helping to not overpower the rest of the look.

Air Jordan 11 Retro Low White/Red

Year Released: 2012

After eleven years (no pun intended), the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low returned in the summer of 2012. Coming in all white with a red sole, you simply can’t go wrong with these.

Air Jordan 11 Retro Low IE Black/Varsity Red

Year Released: 2003 and 2011

These would’ve been higher on the list, had they not been retro’ed twice. Always a fan favorite, you can never go wrong with a black/red Air Jordan, especially when it’s an original colorway.

Air Jordan 1 Retro Low ‘Navy’

Year Released: 2004

This iteration was one of the first Air Jordan 1 Retro Lows released. The white, navy and black colorway, combined with the use of nubuck and tumbled leather, made these a must-have, especially if you preferred lows to the 2001 Retro+ ‘Navy’ colorway.

Air Jordan 11 Retro Low IE ‘Cobalt’

Year Released: 2003

A sleeper, to say the least. The last time we saw the ‘Cobalt’ Air Jordan 11 Retro Low IE was over ten years ago. After seeing the OG black/red pair come back twice, we think its safe to say a re-retro is overdue.

Air Jordan 1 Retro Low ‘Westside’

Year Released: 2007

Nuggets themed colorways were always popular, even before Melo left town. Out of the four colorways released representing the regions of the US, this ‘Westside’ version was clearly the best with its uni blue elephant print and white tumbled leather upper, finished off by yellow accents and a full blue translucent outsole. Very nice.

Air Jordan 9 Retro Low ‘Blue Pearl’

Year Released: 2002

The second Air Jordan 9 Retro Low, these came in a white and blue pearl colorway complete with patent leather and hits of university blue to add an extra pop of color.

Air Jordan 12 Retro Low ‘Obsidian’

Year Released: 2004

An original colorway released as a low top. This 2004 Air Jordan 12 Retro Low was the first pair released. While some preferred them as highs, others were happy to see them back in general, low top or not.

Air Jordan 11 Retro Low ‘Zen Grey’

Year Released: 2001

A limited release in 2001, while some people didn’t even know they dropped originally, they surely did. Perfect for the summer time, you can’t go wrong with an all white pair of Air Jordan XIs.

Air Jordan 13 Retro Low ‘Red’

Year Released: 2005

An original colorway, brought back in low top form. Fans of the XIII Low were happy to see these drop during the 2005 Air Jordan 13 Retro run. We mean, how can you possibly go wrong with OG makeups?

Air Jordan 9 Retro Low ‘Chrome’

Year Released: 2002

Perfect for the summer, the ‘Chrome’ Air Jordan 9 Retro Low was the first Air Jordan IX released in low top form. Featuring both patent leather and chrome lace holders.

Air Jordan 6 Retro Low ‘Uni Blue’

Year Released: 2002

While the Air Jordan VI might not have originally released in low top form, in 2002 it would finally happen. One of two colorways released, the color combination of white and university blue always looks great.

Air Jordan 13 Retro Low Black/White-Maize

Year Released: 2005

The only black-based Air Jordan 13 Retro Low release…so far. The white midsole and yellow outsole help to add a little pop of color to bring these together.

Air Jordan 13 Retro Low White/Black-Maize

Year Released: 2005

We chose the white pair over the black pair, simply because of its cleaner look. Both colorways are nice, but these stand out a little more, especially with shorts.

Air Jordan 6 Retro Low ‘Black’

Year Released: 2002

Along with the white and university blue colorway, this pair was also released in 2002. Featuring a clean black nubuck upper with hits of silver, these just come across simple yet classic.

Air Jordan 11 Retro Low ‘Red’

Year Released: 2001

You can never go wrong with red on an Air Jordan and sometimes, simple is the way to go. This pair, featuring a white ballistic mesh upper, red patent leather and finished off by an icy sole, is as nice as they come.

Air Jordan 11 Retro Low ‘Columbia’

Year Released: 2001

Released alongside the white and varsity red colorway, this was one of the first Air Jordan 11 Retro Lows released. And they are executed perfectly with a leather upper, columbia blue patent leather and an icy sole.

Air Jordan 11 Retro Low ‘Concord’

Year Released: 2014

This is a no-brainer. The best colorway of the Air Jordan XI (subjective, of course), finally released as a low top. Ever since MJ wore a PE pair during the 1996 championship parade, people have wanted them. Finally, in 2014 that dream became a reality!
