While we’re all fully aware Kanye West is now signed to adidas, we take a look back and highlight Yeezy’s best moments while rocking Jordans over the years. Kanye has been no stranger to wearing Jordan heat before officially joining the Three Stripes recently, but it’s easy to see after checking out this feature that ‘Ye definitely preferred just a handful of models. But in looking back at what he was snapped in wearing most, it definitely seemed like Kanye had a lot of love for both the Jordan I and VI models, particularly the black/infrared 6. For those that will forever stay loyal to ‘Ye and Nike/Jordan, here’s hoping they reunite once again in the future!
Air Jordan I Black/Red
If you’re a regular on celeb-centric sneaker posts, you already know ‘Ye loves himself some Air Jordan Is. But, if the sheer volume of pics with him wearing them are any indication, the black/red colorway is his favorite. Here is Yeezy showing us the iconic sneaker’s versatility. Dress ’em up, or dress ’em down, black and red Is are a must anywhere you go.
Air Jordan I Black/Royal
And what Jordan head’s collection would be complete without some black/royal Is? Of course Yeezy got ’em.
Air Jordan III Black/Cement
The couple that stunts together…well, okay maybe they don’t stay together. But they do look fly together. So, whenever you try and throw salt at some dude on Instagram for posing in the same kicks as his lady, just remember: Yeezy taught us.
Air Jordan III White/Cement
Sure, the full leather look isn’t something all of us can pull off. But here is Yeezus looking smooth in black layers and beautiful White/Cement Air Jordan IIIs.
Air Jordan IV Black/Cement
Here the world’s most famous College Dropout pairs a sweet, red varsity jacket with the legendary Black/Cement Air Jordan IV. And, as far as accessories go, Amber Rose looking lovely.
Air Jordan IV White/Cement
Does it get much more classic than Yeezy’s fit here? Pairing the gorgeous White/Cement IVs with clean denim and a plain black tee, ‘Ye keeps it simple.
Air Jordan IV White/Chrome-Classic Green
Most of Kanye’s Jordan stash appears to be of the classic, OG colorway variety, but he will mix it up from time-to-time. Here he is flexing in 2004s super clean white/chrome-classic green IVs.
Air Jordan Spiz’ike "Fresh Since ’85"
No matter what the analysts say, if you’ve recently tried to cop some classic Flyknit Trainer or Pure Boost colorways, you’ve no doubt noticed the influence of Yeezy on their price. We wonder if he would’ve had the same effect on the love-em-or-hate-em Jordan Spiz’ike, had more people seen these photos of Kanye rocking the excellent “Fresh Since ’85′” and “Grape” colorways.
Air Jordan V Black/Metallic Silver
Add the black/metallic silver Vs to the list of Air Jordans Mr. West likes to flex in. Honestly, who doesn’t love these shoes?
Air Jordan V "CDP"
But it isn’t just the plain black Vs Kanye likes to get down in. Here he is, circa 2008, rocking the fantastic Vs from the Countdown Pack. Just look at that 808s & Heartbreak hair!
Air Jordan VI Black/Infrared
Of all the retro Js you see Yeezus getting down in, perhaps no other sneaker is more steadily in his rotation than the excellent Black/Infrared VIs. Oooh, this one has us fiending for this winter’s retro.
Air Jordan VI White/Infrared
Though rocked significantly less than their black counterparts, ‘Ye did also get down with the White/Infrared VIs as well. Seriously though, who doesn’t?
Air Jordan VII "Hare"
While he hasn’t been rocking the Air Jordan VII much in recent years, Kanye has a solid history of rocking MJ’s seventh silo. Here he is sporting the always fresh “Hare” Jordan VII.
Air Jordan VII "Raptors"
Oof. Sometimes there are pictures you just want wiped from the internet, you know? We bet 2014 Yeezy would like to kill these jeans with fire! Regardless of all that horrible #NTDenim, them “Raptor” VIIs he’s sporting are ill.
Air Jordan VIII "Aqua"
The Air Jordan VIII is another silo you don’t see Mr. West sporting much anymore. But a few years back, on the court and off, ‘Ye was all about the VIII. Particularly the “Aqua” colorway.
BONUS: Kanye x Air Jordan "DONDA" Sample
Sure, we all know the line about Yeezy jumping over the Jumpman, but can you imagine the hype behind an Air Jordan x Kanye West collaboration? Well, back in 2008, it almost happened. It wasn’t until recently that these Donda-West-themed samples appeared. And what better silo than seemingly Yeezy’s favorite, the Air Jordan VI? Oh, what could’ve been…and that’s real talk because you don’t even get a full look at the shoe.
